Hi Reader,
Rooted Reflections — finding my rhythm again 🌿
It’s been a little while since I’ve written. Partly because I lost my rhythm, and partly because I needed to slow down and listen again.
I’ve been realising how much of life (and parenting) whispers “hurry up.”
- Hurry up and get out the door.
- Hurry up and stop having a meltdown.
- Hurry up and find the answer
But the truth is, rushing toward solutions often keeps us from actually finding them. Most growth — and most solutions, for us and our children — happen when we slow down and arrive fully in the moment.
Lately, I’ve been asking myself:
Maybe we don’t need to hurry THROUGH the moment... but arrive fully IN it.
When I stop rushing to fix or finish, and simply arrive, everything softens — my breath, my body and my responses to my child.
So if you’ve been feeling that pull to move faster, to fix things quicker, to get back on track, maybe this is your invitation to get rooted.
Rooted in your breath.
Rooted in the moment.
Rooted in trust that growth doesn’t need to be hurried.
✨ Rooted Reflections will land in your inbox every couple of weeks now — not as a lecture, but as a moment to pause and come home to yourself again.
If this reflection speaks to you, you might enjoy my FREE guide "Finding Your Way Home"... you can find it here via my Instagram bio.
And to hear about how important this is for our children, check out this story about when my kid wanted to quit... half way through our bike ride... when we were still 25 mins from home.
Here’s to slowing down, noticing, and arriving — one small moment at a time.
Love
Fiona
